What they hope from these monologues are honest messages from those who will one day inherit the issues we face now and tomorrow.ĭover Little Theatre is an intimate 100 seat theatre located just off Blackwell Street in Historic Dover, New Jersey. If you are a young writer who lives in New Jersey or know of one who would like to see their writing performed, please fill out the form here. To be eligible, the writer must be below the age of 21 and reside within the tri-state area. The deadline to submit a monologue is March 1st. You do not have to include the prompt in your monologue and it can be written in your own voice, or in the voice of a character you create. You can write this monologue from the perspective of the present, or from a future perspective looking back. The writing prompt for this monologue is, “What comes next.” The board of DLT will then select a number of these monologues to be performed virtually by actors. The dancers included Avery Klinck of Sparta, Sarah Ferrara of Verona and I. For the next month, they will be accepting monologue submissions from student writers throughout the tri-state area.
